The Fairies from the Magical Forest – 4-5th April

Dear ladies, Outhentic Cycling Romania and foto4ever.ro invite you to join us for a special bike tour between the hills of Urlați, in the famous wine region of Dealu Mare. The area is easy to reach, placed at only 90km away from Bucharest.

What we will prepare for the fairies?

– A nice bike ride through the Magical Forest close to Urlați, on one of our sign-posted bike trails – http://www.ctiurlati.ro/en/dealu-mare-cycling-routes/route-2-padurea-magica/

– A picnic in the forest, followed by a special photo session just for you

– Coffee stop and other surprises

– Visit and wine tasting at Bellu Museum, a wonderful manor built in 19th century

– Dinner at the manor

– We will tell evening stories gathered around a campfire

Technical details

Day 1 – Saturday April 4th

– 30 km asphalt (Ploiesti Vest – Bucov – Varbila – Magical Forest then Magical Forest – Urlați and, eventually, Urlați – Cricov for the ones who participate only the first day and return home by train)

– 6 km forest road in the Magical Forest (for the ones coming by car they can easily go on this part only; cars can pe parked next to forest entrance)

Day 2 – Sunday April 5th

– 18 km asphalt (Urlați – Valea Crângului – Urlați – Cricov)

Exact routes will be received after booking completion.

Meet point: Heroes Monument, Vărbila plateau (map here), hour 11am.

Registration:

– 149 RON – for Day 1. The fee includes guiding, technical assistance, forest picnic, wine tasting, dinner.

– 249 RON – for Day 1 + Day 2. The fee includes in addition accommodation at local 3* pension (according to availability at the moment of booking), breakfast, guiding and quick snack during the second day.

For booking a place at the event the payment has to be done in advance using the following bank details (please mention at payment details „The Fairies Event”):

Transport  (arranged individually)

• with train (we can order special train wagon, according to number of bookings)
• with personal car
• directly on bike

Here is the train schedule:

• 4 April – 07:40 – leaves Gara București Basarab  – train CFR – R3003 — arrival Ploiești VEST – 9:12 (for the ones who choose to take the train until Ploiești and then ride the bike)
• 4 April – 20:58 – leaves Ploiești VEST – train CFR R3012 – arrival București Nord – 22:00 (for the ones who leave at the end of Day 1)
• 5 April – 16:12 – leaves Cricov – train CFR R5010 – arrival București Basarab 18:04 (for the ones who leave at the end of Day 2)

Bikes for rent

40 RON /person per day. The bikes are in excellent shape; we use Stevens, Cross (trekking bikes) and Sunn (MTB bikes).
