Join Cycling Romania for a weekend relaxation at The Mud Volcanoes! The route is addressed to all nature lovers and cyclists having a medium physical fitness.
What do we do: We visit The Salt Mountains and The Mud Volcanoes, two natural wonders from Buzău area, we visit old monasteries and we ride along Slănic Valley, a beautiful and scenic cycling route. We smile and enjoy the ride. We take back good memories and new friendships.

Tour itinerary:
- Day 1: Berca – Pleșcoi – Valea Părului – Niculești – Mânzălești – Meledic
- Day 2: Meledic – Niculești – Balta Tocila – Beciu – Pâclele – Berca

Directions:
By car: Before reaching Buzău turn left on the city’s ring and then head towards Brașov. After 20 km turn right and reach Berca (follow the sign for Mud Volcanoes – ‘Vulcanii Noroioși’).
By train: You can get to Berca by taking the services of TFC – private railway company. More information about the train schedule you will find here. Bikes are allowed at 50% from the full ticket price. If you choose to come by train please let us know.
The tour package includes:
- bike and helmet rental, guiding, technical assistance, visit at Rătești and Berca Monastery, accommodation at a 3-star pension with breakfast included, one dinner, fresh homemade sandwich for lunch on each day, energy bars, fruits. We can arrange car transfer upon request.
For groups smaller than 4 people, an extra charge will be applied per person.
